Maker's name on a number of parapet panels on both sides of bridge (did they build the bridge proper?) Macfarlane claim iron work on the bridge - presumably the spandrils q.v. .. HDW also built Abbey Bridge Paisley in 1878 q.v. ... note & photo J Bolton
